    Fuel pump noise on startup

Nailed it! I tried both sequences this morning, and you're quite right, so panic over. Thanks Bobh.

    Fuel pump noise on startup

Good questions. Startup-wise it's on the sidestand, turn key, hear whine, and hit the switch. Shutdown is into neutral, sidestand down, and turn off with the key. However, my partner had put the bike away the night before the second occasion, so you may have a point, as it's possible...

    Fuel pump noise on startup

Hi, when I started my 2015 MT07 this morning, I turned the key, and instead of the usual whine of the fuel pump, got... nothing. The display lit up as usual, but the old familiar chorus was missing. Hit the starter, and it started without hesitation. I tried this twice more, and...

Mud and Muck everywhere. Rear Wheel Hugger?

I have the Pyramid Plastics hugger, there's no doubt that it's an improvement on the standard fitment, but whether it's 145 quids worth better is another matter. The shock is clean, the linkage is not, and a fair amount of crap still lands on the pillion seat. Fine spray still decorates...

Has anyone heard of 4th Dimension? (crash repairs)

In case anyone looks this up in the future, I got my bike back this weekend after 8 weeks. It looks to me as if they've done a good job, it's also come back cleaner than I've seen it for over a year! In the main, communication was good, and they gave me all the information I needed, my...

Has anyone heard of 4th Dimension? (crash repairs)

I could have sworn I posted this a few days ago but buggered if I can find the post now... As subject, has anyone any experience of 4th Dimension bike repairers? The MT is currently in their custody after it and I were taken roughly from behind by a driver who drove into the back of me while...

    Radiator Guard

Have you got any pictures Robodene? A radiator guard was something I thought about when I got the bike but never quite got round to. Did you get it for aesthetic or functional reasons?

    The "Was it you?" thread

Yes, me again, I keep trying. Grey MT07 on the A3 at Cobham this morning, I would have waved but you would have rightly looked down your visor at me as I was on an NC750, a loan bike while the MT is being repaired after being taken roughly from behind by a blind motorist :o(

    The "Was it you?" thread

OK, let's try again, On Sunday afternoon, I went up to Newlands Corner for a bimble when the roads had re-opened after the cycle race. Normally heaving with bikers on a Sunday, there for posing, tea and cakes, it was all but empty, as the car park had been used as a hub for the road race...

    Helllooooo, London Lady Biker here!

It's easier than you think - I went from a 125 trailie to a 600, and was amazed by how much easier it was to handle.

    Pyramid Plastics Colour match?

Pyramid's own - this one Pyramid Plastics Online - Yamaha MT07 / FZ07 Matt Grey Hugger 2014 - I don't know about the carbon version, but fitting this was (I am told!) dead easy! It comes with instructions, but two things to note are that on the chain side, the original fitting uses collars...

    Pyramid Plastics Colour match?

Hi, I've just fitted the Pyramid Plastics matte gray, and I have to say that while the hugger is a thing of beauty in itself, the colour match isn't great, it's quite a bit more silvery than the bike. However, as Noggie says, (a) it's only really noticeable if you're holding the hugger against...

    Helllooooo, London Lady Biker here!

Hi Lausie, another female here (not sure anyone has ever called me a lady!) On the subject of mileage, I use my bike every day to and from work (about 35 miles round trip), and it's now covered in a lovely protective layer of crud - the whole bike is matte grey, not just the paintwork.
