Congrats to the Bandit, I had a 1200S for 6 years and loved it, not as agile as the MT-07 in the city but steadier and more comfortable at speed on the open road.
If it was fuel related knocking you would get it in high revs.
The difference is that a higher octane fuel gives a shorter and more distnict explosion and thereby allows higher rews before knocking. Unless you need higher octane don't use it as it contains less energy, the MT-07 runs fine on 95.
Sold the GPz to a nieghbor and I see it all the time, looks just the same as the one from the top gun movie and he maintains it well.
However i didn't really like riding it in urban traffic, heavy and with an urge to go straight forward.
Happier with the MT-07
