For those its affecting, have you tried turning up the idle. Its the first thing I would try, I know its been mentioned before but I can't recall anyone doing it and posting results.
Just had a look at cal66's bike, and it's not going to be as straight forward as I first thought. A little engineering/fabrication will be required to make this work.
Having fitted a H4 Xenon HID kit to a Honda Varadero before, I have to say that I found the dipped beam to be much better, but the full beam not as good as the standard halogen lamps. The kit that I had used electro magnets to move the bulb up and down when switching between high and low beam...
I thought long and hard about one of those myself, lovely looking machine with huge power and great handling. But I decided to stick with the Tiger for the time being, as it suits my needs perfectly right now.
As a first bike for a new rider its quite a beast, take it easy and look after yourself.
I bought cal66 a Bluetooth audio head unit for her car last year, and its fantastic. You just pair your phone to it and you play the music files, use google maps for navigation, make and receive phone calls all hands free and it all comes through the cars speakers.
That's all very well, but there is no reason why a passenger can't use a phone while travelling in a car. Ensuring it doesn't affect people standing near a road could be a problem too.
You just turn the clamp on the selector spline 180 degrees and it reverses the shift pattern, e.g. up for first and down for all the rest. It's more commonly known as a race pattern.
If you click on the settings on the page and check the "request desk top" box, you will see the site as it appears on your computer. I can't be bothered with tapatalk myself.
I can't think off hand how those would fit on the bike as it doesn't have a rising rate linkage. The shock bolts directly onto the swing arm and the back of the engine. Unless of course its just a generic photo of a lowering kit and Powerbronze have come up with another way of lowering it, I...
The shock only adjusts for pre load, as I'm sure we all know, so adjusting it only really raises or lowers the ride height for any given weight and doesn't make the suspension harder or softer. She has the shock set on the lowest setting just so she can touch the ground, even if one were to...
This is a difficult one, depending on which expert you talk to. Some say warm it up before riding, others say most engine wear happens when the engine is cold and the quickest way to warm it and prevent wear is drive it straight away, albeit gently. This is what I do as it makes sense to me, but...
I think you guys are getting yourselves worked up over nothing. Remember, this bike was developed and built in Japan, which doesn't have many native polar bears
I think it is comparable to the LC350, you have to look at the wider picture. It is cheap just like the LC's were, when you consider that a Yamaha 125 is the best part of £4,000. A good point was made about insurance being to high for young riders, but insurance was calculated differently back...
