Interesting post guys, thanks. To my mind the torque curve looks absolutely flat. With little point going beyond 7-8k revs, except if it helps you in a certain situation to extend the gear.

The rising line from 4k is the bhp, which is just torque multiplied by revs. So understandably that increases. But theres no extra shove on offer, if that makes sense.

The really impressive thing to my eye is the accessibility of that torque and far down it is there, even for a twin! 5th gear overtakes aplenty!
