Pyramid rear hugger extender

slightly off topic but how do the hugger extensions work with regard to water and mud splashing the underside of the bike and rider's legs ?? thanks

They help but are never going to be anything like proper mudguards,
these bikes are sunny day toy's not intended for the use some of us
subject them to.

Just a thought.........

These extenders are probably made by Injection Moulding so there will be a thin film of "release agent" on the surface of the part which helps production remove it from the mould.
If this is not cleaned off properly, no adhesive will hold it for long.

Only just seen this thread.
The pop rivet placing in the photo could probably use a rethink. The side rivets are in a position where they have the maximium leverage load from the CoG of the extender. Might be a big more reliable with the rivets up on the upper bits so they are closer to the centre of gravity of the added piece. That way the lower edge will be in compression instead of tension and it will help it stay in place. You may only need 2 rivets then too.
