Hi Greg, I'm not sure about the CAT grade, but I did see a similar write up as you mentioned that with both the Cat in and the baffles a guy with a FZ09 got better numbers.
The O2 sensor disconnect was recommended by the guys that did the reflash of the ECU to prevent the sensor from trying to...
I used my original ECU that was sent away and got remapped/reflashed.
I did not try running the bike after removing the airbox restriction with the original ECU setup as the bike was running lean with all the other mods already.
Current mods are, airbox restriction removed, throttle restrictor...
Well then hearing aid will be next on order. With the helmet on it does not seem that load unless I am deaf already.
The DB rating from 2 places registered 101 which is 1 over for NZ.
So I will have to keep it low; the option of putting in the DB baffle is good.
Competing with the Harley guys.
Some more Ixil L3X sound video to help with those trying to decide what to choose from.
I will do a drive by at a later date
Ixil L3X hyperlow db baffles & cat has been removed, this may be to loud for some.
Use headphones for better sound.
Sound level cause abit of mic distortion on the camera.
I meant to say that you can remove the Cat cone if you allowed in your country and that will make the pipe crack really loud on throttle.
You will also see on the inside of the shorty that they placed another 2 seperate DB killers that can be drilled out as well if you have the tools.
Apologies...
They come with allen key bolts on each of the pipes if you speaking about the Ixil L3X hyperlow.
If you allowed, they also come with a cat in the pipe as it comes from 2 to 1.
It is very loud when you remove all of that.
I had mine tested at 2 different places and it registered 101db
Hope that...
