I think they probably would have paid out if I'd done anything about it, but I've been on holiday and I've not yet sent them any of my documentation. The good news is they agreed to add my new bike to my existing policy and just charge me an admin fee - so the hike I'm probably about to get...
Another cautionary note ... if your vehicle gets nicked with a private plate, you have to wait 12 months until you can reclaim that numberplate ... still at least I won't get stopped constantly for the next year!
Think I've sourced a replacement ... will post the details once I've secured the deal.
No physical security ... I know !!! .... but its just not practical for a work bike I need to jump on and move off quickly. I suppose I will invest in some, but I'm pretty convinced that it was started (there was a witness who heard a bike start in the 10 minute window that I know it went) and...
Chaps - my beloved Race Blu MT07 has just been stolen from outside my office ... if any fellow London riders can keep an eye out - distinctive registration MT07ZZZ
GUTTED
Addy thanks for your video - very interesting ( and I recognise those locations well ) ... mine's been fine for the most part but last week I had to do a run upto the City from Knightsbridge, and it was quite warm, so the engine was hot (fan kicked in a couple of times) and mine stalled...
No one has commented about the rear ABS kicking in when downshifting ... I don't think the brake is actually getting applied, but if you downshift aggressively and presumably lock the rear for a moment, then you can hear the ABS pump kicking in.
I can only assume most of you don't ride in towns...
Balki - can you share some footage of the vid camera so I can see what it looks like - I like the idea of mounting one like this, but worry that the grill will ruin the picture?
Any obvious ideas as to what I can do about my squeaky front brake - only does it at low speed.
Also my ABS kicks in on the back wheel when I downshift hard (locking the wheel momentarily) ... which then means if I need to apply back brake the pedal is hard as rock!
