    New motorcycle help

Only ridden a few bikes with abs and never owned one, I have had cars with abs, some I am sure I could beat as they cut in very early, others were very good you have to reprogram your mind to keep the brakes on hard once the system cuts in even though instinct tells you to back off and get grip...

    ECU Flash

Is'n there a little throttle stop that limits throttle movement if so have you removed that. the Australian restricted ones use different inlet rubbers but I don't think the UK ones do.

    ECU Flash

Apart from the normal rev limit mine as never seemed to have any other retriction it has had the fueling turned up a little at low revs to stop the odd stalling but is otherewise standard. If you fit a aftermarket clutch and dont install the clutch switch that retards the timing a little and...

    Time for a change

They seem to be selling well, the local Yam main dealer had a shed load a few month back but not a single one new or SH at the moment.

    MT-07 2018 colour options

The thing is that the fuel tank is under plastic covers so its the covers that you change and at least here they are not that expensive, it would be a option if things are the same in your country, you may also find a sale for the plastic from your bike but I can see were you would not want to...

    Time for a change

For me range is another consideration the 07 is right at the low limit I do the Round Britain Rally and have had a few close does out in the sticks, setting out with a full tank and having 2 refuels is not unusual, one of the best in this respect was a Vstrom 650 that could do over 300 miles on...

    MT-07 2018 colour options

If you chose the color you buy carefully so the other bits match it may not be at all expensive to order the ready painted pannals and end up with a even better looking bike. i happened quite a lot at our local Yam dealer.

    Fuel pump noise on startup

If the stop switch is off the pump doesn't prime, but when you switch it to run nothing happens still no priming noise but the bike fires up so the pump must prime wile the starter is spinning and you cant hear it, on every other bike I have had switch ing the stop to rum would prime the fuel...

ABS Light Issue - Help please!

It wont be a bulb but a led unless you are handy with a soldering iron it may not be replaceable make sure the plug under the instruments is fully home. the abs unit is under the right hand side of the tank covers wont hurt to check if that is pluged in right to,

Something is slipping as I pull away from a cold start.

Try this, from a cold start engine running pull in clutch and keeping it held in give the engine a little rev just a blip then without letting out the clutch engage 1st gear, if your bike is like mine it will go in gear with barely a click. It only works when the oil is cold and thick as the oil...

    New member

Hi Dan and welcome, the forum is a bit quiet strange as there are a lot of MT-07's running around, maybe they are all out riding and don't have time to post,

Engine cuts off when the clutch lever pulled in

The switch does need to be working and if not will likely cause stalling, when the clutch is pulled in the switch not only arms the starter circuit but if the engine is on the over run it wakens up the injection system and retards the timing a small amount so acting as a anti stall switch. My...

    New motorcycle help

The KTM looks to have better quality components but is likly to be hardest to live with, I have not ridden one but mates that have had them loved them at first but did not keep them long. Not a lot wrong with the Suzuki though single cylinders are more fussy to ride than twines and it is likely...

    touring

Done a few 300 mile days on mine and ok the seat gets a bit hard after that kind of miles but otherwise it does fine, very long legged, good at covering miles.

    520 conversion.

I think on non ABS bikes there is a sensor on the gearbox, they dont have the wheel sensors.
