Changing to a longer handle bar with step-up

Hi..Has anyone changed to slightly longer handle bar with step up to achieve a bit more upright riding position?? If so any feedback will be appreciated.. Thank you

I bought a pair like that for my Commando, the dealer said that if they weren't comfortable then I could put them on my helmet!

thanks guys..very useful old thread on bar..will get a longer bar and may be a stepper to test out..
