We will be making lots of nice stuff for the MT-07 - What kind of things do you want?

Hi Guys,

Powerbronze have an MT-07 on order with a Yamaha dealer and will be looking to make lots of products for it.

Why have we posted this on here you ask ? Well thats because we want your opinion about what you want to see us develop. Obviously we can't promise we will do it, but the more suggestions we get, you never know.

Anyway to help your creative juices flowing, here is an album of our products that we have done for the MT-09 : https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.641719239219518.1073741826.108833532508094&type=1

If you post in this thread with what you would like to see, I will then pass them onto our development team.

Cheers,
Richard

Crash protection and a screen would be my first priorities, although a hugger should probably be an early purchase as well.

defo after a sports screen i would also like louder pipes but all in time i guess. there is too much to choose from so i'll leave the credit card at home when going to to the dealer

I would ideally like a price / these fitted;

Rear and Front Axle Protectors
Engine Protector
Handlebar Ends
Side Sliders
Radiator Side Covers
Tail Tidy
Mat Black Leather Tank Cover
& Eventually a new exhaust system

How about a solid coloured fly screen rather than a clear perspec version. Will look much better if finished and spray finished to match bike colour.

I would suggest a rear rack that does not include for modifying the existing bikes plastics. At present if you want a rack from Yamaha you have to do this. It then becomes unsightly if you want to remove the rack at a later stage. A rear hugger would be good. Newer belly pan too.
I think that this bike is the NEW hooligan's bike (original being the Suzuki Bandit) so I would think about modifications along those lines.

Looking forward to seeing your developments Richard. I think the suggestions so far have been good. Having tried to take a bit of slack out of my chain last night, spmething that makes levelling it easier and so the right slack plate doesn't move when you torque the axle nut!

It was more of a bugger that I was hoping.

+1 for the solid colour screens, and a screen that's in keeping with the street fighter looks. I find taller screens never offer the wind protection advertised but they do create so much more turbulence noise.

what effect on handling would heavy (heavier than normal) front axle protectors have on handling and would it stop the front wheel lifting ?

Wonder if something can be done to improve the sound of the exhaust without having to install a new system ( like AKRA ). Maybe a mod to the internal exhaust parts. I like the color of the original header ( more brownish ) and would like to keep it that way.

Some better photo's of your screens on the bike, the photo's on the web site aren't very good. Some head on photo's and maybe a few close ups would be great. Thanks:cool:

Having taken my test ride in the rain, I would say a hugger is top of my list (I had mud all over the back of my helmet!) and an extension to the front mudguard would help. Next a screen and crash bungs

Hi guys!

Thanks so much for all the suggestions.

Just to let you know that so far we have completed the dev work on:

Screens, hugger, belly pan, headlight covers and crash posts. All the website photos have been updated for those that asked :)

Lots more to come and we're also currently discussing which bits to do in carbon fibre.

We'll keep you posted!!

Cheers :)

I'd like to see a single seat conversion - one that replaces the stock pillion pad rather than just covering it up.
