I used my Carbtune to check mine, and I don't know if it was coincidence but an airbox sensor had to be replaced soon afterwards. I've not bothered since, as you can't adjust them if they're wrong anyway.

I swapped my MT for one, and it's brilliant! I much prefer it to the MT. It's more planted, less frisky. Performance is down a bit (mostly because my wife is on the back ;)) , but handling is superb, which makes up for it. So far, economy is comparable. Lovely bike, and the red is a fantastic...

The worst mpg for my MT is 62, the best (so far) is 71. I should be doing a couple of long runs this month, so I'll see what happens then.

Forgive the cynic in me, but how is your club any more official than we are on here? I don't see any official Yamaha endorsement...

If it's the size of the control switch which is putting you off, have a look at Daytona heated grips. Their switch is tiny compared to others, and the grips are very good.

I understand it to be Desaxe (same as my wife's Hyundai i10)

I never knew it was an option when I bought mine. I went for Daytona heated grips. If you do a search there's more information on heated grips in at least 2 previous threads.

As long as your replacement bulb is the same wattage as the original it should be fine. If you try a higher power one you could have problems.

Maybe so; 1 is the softest setting.

You'll need probably need it on about setting 2, so one or two steps anti-clockwise from the stock setting.

Just an Allen key. I use the T-bar type.

I use a set of Daytona heated grips, which have a pre-heat function and four heat settings. They also have a nice neat controller which is about a quarter the size of the Oxford one. There's pictures on here somewhere. In the cold weather I add on Acerbis X-Tarmac hand guards, which I bought...

I saw Badger's MT at MFN last night (and 2 others), but I didn't see Mr Badger

I don't think it's predictive, but it's definitely not linear.
