blue headers

hello everyone , just been cleaning the mt 07 and noticed that the header pipes are starting to turn blue , I have done just over 500 miles , has anybody else noticed this yet ?

It's normal, just the steel reacting with air under heat. You'll notice it creeps from closest to the engine. Easily managed with some metal polish and a cloth (or 000 grade wire wool) if you want them to stay shiny.

If you start polishing them it's a never ending job and they tend to go
a bit uneven coloured, so I just wait till they have cooled and gently
was off any crud but don's polish them.

hello ralph , I don't want to go down the polishing route as it will inevitably become hard work !!!! hope to change the exhaust eventually anyway , just wanted to know everything was ok and she wasn't running too hot !! thanks for the reply

Not actually seen one with blue headers, the ones I have seen have been like a golden brownish
if the bike is pulling strongly with no hunting I doubt if anything is wrong,
