New UK Member, Stock issues?

Hi all hope this is in the right place!

Been to the dealer for a test ride and potential purchase and no stock until march down south, is it the same all across the UK do you guys know?

I was also planning to buy one used but the clear popularity of the new bike is making me wonder whether I should shell out the extra money for a new model (although the warranty is transferable and i've never really been comfortable with the devaluation accompanied with just driving home from a dealership).

By way of background it'll be my second bike after a 2 year break, first bike was a Triumph TT600 which saw weekend use. This is potentially for the London commute (if the office has parking space)

Webbs of Peterborough have a new red one in stock was looking at it yesterday and Webbs of Lincoln have a Matt Grey one in stock.

Have you checked out Woodford Yamaha dealer?

The dealer in Waltham Abbey/Cheshunt area will have a bike in, around mid Jan as that was the one they ordered for me and then got another one from another dealer for me.

I imagine there will be a few second hand ones coming on to the market in spring as people look up upgrade I'll certainly be aiming to sell mine in April!

xsr-700 must admit I fancy one with the scrambler kit on.
