Hello all,
MOT. Sailed through as you would expect with a bike that that has only done around (3K)
Embarrassed, to have done such few miles and hopefully this year will add a few more.
Intrigued to know of you boys and girls who have racked up a few miles and at MOT time, What has failed 1st...
I really feel a bit embarrassed asking this as I'm not a typical rider. Due to family issues and the mighty xt I've only covered around 2k since I've had her and only seen
rain once "the day I picked her up" ffs
Anyway, still love the bike and had no issues eg starts on the button and no...
When they 1st came out here in the UK, March 2014 ish, many people posted similar comments. I remember trying to remove bolts on the rear footrest hangars and rounding them off, getting
the dealer to drill them out at 1st service. Most bolts/etc for whatever reason seem to be over torqued. I...
Last year. Carole Nash was £131 fully comp 2x bikes. This year renewal was £170. Beat them down to £156. Won't go back next year coz they are taking the Michael.
On a side note. Car Ins just recently in and they were even worse. Only way to cancel (coming out on 1 hit on card) was either ring...
For me, I think it must be an age thing. I used to love the "howl" of a nice exhaust and pi££ing people off a little.
Now I'm over 50 and the bikes that come thro where I live blasting my eardrums out pi££ me off now! "pesky kids"
Although must say the standard 07 exhaust really is too quite...
Thanks for all your suggestions. The bike is fine and everything is adjusted ok. I think only conclusion is the rider is getting a bit old and rusty:D But as said above, I don't struggle with the XT
Is it me? Or do others struggle to get a smooth change between these gears? The mighty xt and It seems effortless. but I do struggle with the mt and sometimes look like a bloody learner? Admitedley I don't ride the mt that much. But just interested if it might be an age thing?
Was out all Friday and Saturday, and not seen by anyone? Did see a yellow one on my travels tho. No offence, but it's not my bag, but dealer said they are selling like hotcakes?
Still apparently a lack of mt's in the country and a bit of a wait?
All done. £160 "inc vat" ish. Bat recall lead done at no charge. Pretty much an oil change and filter, chain lube etc I thought it sounded like a lot. Which I could of done for the price of the oil/filter for around
£25 max..
But worth every penny. Had a choice of free "massive big bike" to hack...
Hello all,
Got my 2nd service coming up on Weds. Just wondering what it cost you all? Also they are doing the batt recall lead. Guessing it's just an oil change an general check?
Well out of my comfort zone here coz normally do all the spannering but keeping the book up to date. After this one...
689,
Sorry to hear of your dropped MT and thankfully you are ok. It’s only money and pride after all.
What I find weird is the fact that somebody has taken a pic of you when lying in the gutter after falling off?
Obviously a generation thing?
Fell over last year after a couple of pints with...
