Since installing mine I now have the baffle out all of the time as it really is a lovely sound and not "insanely" loud!! As deadhead says it really is easy to install and is very good quality. I must have been lucky as mine took 3weeks to arrive - but I was chasing them everyday for the last...
Hi Darren yes it's all very easy. As long as you have a decent socket set (sorry for repeating that quote over and over, but will make job MUCH easier)
Rappetor
When fitting mine I put it together exactly as per instructions and all of the pieces and springs lined up. However it is different from the images on the SC project website. Where the 2-1 connector is actually shown as twisted slightly towards the engine hiding the lambda sensor...
Near as - Yes. Just want to say that I really am glad I ordered SC. Looked at all other options and got to say the £250 difference on the Akrapovic is money well saved!!
Will do update on performance and sound & some pics once ridden tomorrow. Get it ordered Darren it really does look lovely on the bike & IMHO even looks better than the Akro" (really mean that) !!
Loving my new SC, took the baffle out and started it up in the garage. Only for my better half to say "what the hell is that the whole house is shaking" LOVE IT Can't wait to take bike out in the morning :-)
Dazzor it's lovely quality S/Steel and looks fab. And super easy to fit (as long as you've got a decent socket set) the silencer only uses one bolt to attach to frame. Unlike the stock one which uses four!!! Will try and upload some pics tomoz :-)
Have just fitted my SC exhaust during my lunch break (literally only took 25mins and no mods) after removing stock exhaust on Saturday. Anyway not had chance to take bike out yet but started her up and OMG what a delicious sound & that was with db killer in too. Looking forward to taking it now...
Darren it's about £45 and drops straight in place of the stock one (absolute doddle) takes about 30mins to do, due to removing all the screws and panels. Also I never removed tank - just removed screws holding it to the frame and lifted tank up slightly. Use either a piece of wood or 2ft spirit...
Well I guess you could it with the bike on ground level. But I've got an Abba stand which lifts both wheels (if required) of the ground! So will make life a lt easier
No problem. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago today & it's supposed to be despatched today?!
And so hopefully be here by the end of the week. So just under 3 wks total, reason it takes that long
Is because they are made to order! Cost was €635 (inc del) which at current exchange rate is about £520
